4. Pre-registration meeting and school visit
We organize personalized tours , the objectives of which are:
- to meet the Director and/or the teaching team,
- to visit the premises,
- to discuss your schooling project,
- to present the principles of Montessori pedagogy and answer your questions.
The presence of both parents is recommended whenever possible.
These meetings, lasting approximately one hour , are reserved for adults.
The child will be welcomed later, after admission, according to an individualized integration protocol , respectful of his/her needs.
Following this meeting, and if you confirm your interest, we will send you:
- the general and financial conditions ,
- the tuition contract ,
- as well as the documents necessary to continue the registration process.
5. Classroom observation
Observing a classroom in operation is an excellent way to better understand Montessori pedagogy .
During the personalized visit, a brief tour of the different environments can be offered.
A more in-depth “in vivo” observation in the classroom can then be planned with the administration.

7. School visit with the child
A few days before the start of the school year, a personalized visit to the school is organized for each enrolled child. This individual welcome session allows for:
- to discover the places,
- to meet the educational and administrative team,
- to calmly prepare for starting school.
The practical details will be communicated to you in due course.
Seat allocation
The central element in accepting an application for enrollment is the consistency between the family’s educational project and the Montessori philosophy .
We carefully review all applications received. The allocation of places also takes into account the balance necessary for the proper functioning of each class (ages, group dynamics, diversity).
Criteria taken into account
- the availability of seats,
- the child’s age,
- his level of preparation for the program in question,
- the family’s commitment to Montessori pedagogy and the school’s culture.
Priority is given to:
- to the brothers and sisters of current or former students,
- to children from other Montessori schools.
The admission of children over 5 years old who have never attended a Montessori school is subject to a thorough review of their application , which may include an immersion day . The families concerned will be contacted directly.
Inclusive school
The Montessori School 3–12 Geneva is an inclusive school . Children with special needs are welcomed according to a dedicated protocol , in a process of close and transparent collaboration with families.
Declaring your child’s specific needs at the time of enrollment lays the foundation for a high-quality educational partnership . Our commitment to inclusion is rooted in Montessori values, while also taking into account:
- of our accommodation capacity,
- with the agreement of a designated educator,
- and the balance of the class group.
