Part-time (8:00 AM – 1:30 PM)
A gentle introduction to schooling, in the Montessori spirit
The part-time program at Montessori 3 12 Geneva is designed for children aged 3 to 4, for whom morning attendance provides a schedule that better respects their current needs. It allows for a gradual introduction to school life while fully benefiting from the Montessori environment and pedagogy.
A full educational framework, even on a part-time basis
Children enrolled in the part-time program are fully integrated into our bilingual French–English Montessori 3–6 classes. They take part in the entire morning learning session, the heart of the Montessori approach :
- Staggered arrival between 8:00 and 8:45 a.m.
- Long period of independent work in the classroom (practical life, language, mathematics, sensorial, and cultural activities)
- Group time (“ellipse”) promoting language development, cohesion, and community life
- Outdoor play and recess
- Lunch at school in an educational and friendly setting
The day ends at 1:30 p.m., after lunch.
Respecting the child’s rhythm
This option particularly meets the needs of:
- Younger children
- Children experiencing group life for the first time
- Families seeking a gradual transition to full-time schooling
The part-time program allows the child to build their first school routines without excessive fatigue, while developing independence, concentration, and confidence.
A smooth transition to full-time schooling
The part-time program fits into an evolving vision of the school journey. In consultation with educators and the family, a transition to full-time attendance can be considered when the child is ready, in a way that respects their development and well-being
A solution designed with families in mind
This option also allows families to balance the Montessori educational approach with their family life, while providing the child with a structured, safe, and stimulating environment.
