Extracurricular Activities: A Variety of Programs in Continuity with Montessori
Montessori 3-12 School offers extended hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. 8h00 à 18h00.
Aware of parents’ needs, we have established an extracurricular program that goes far beyond simple daycare.
This after-school time ensures continuity with the school day. Supervised by Montessori-certified classroom assistants, children evolve in a stimulating environment.
Appropriate activities are offered to foster autonomy while respecting each child’s individual rhythm. These activities also help maintain a consistent educational approach.
This after-school period allows for flexible pacing, encourages independence, and creates a harmonious setting for ongoing development.
In Practice: Enriching Activities Respecting Each Child’s Rhythm
Each child can choose activities based on their interests, needs, and energy levels that day.
Among the options offered every afternoon:
- Free play : Children explore at their own pace, without pressure. Whether coloring, playing with Lego, or discovering new board games with an adult, this time allows them to express their creativity and curiosity.
- Creative activities Crafts, painting, decorating, and other hands-on projects stimulate their imagination and artistic sense.
- Outdoor activities Sports and games in the garden or nearby parks encourage physical development while providing a relaxing break after a day of learning.
In addition to these daily choices, thematic workshops and collaborative projects are regularly organized. Children have the opportunity to discover a variety of activities such as weekly cooking workshops, as well as dance, yoga, sewing, theater, and more. This year’s overarching theme was exploring the continents.
Some Enriching cultural outings are also offered throughout the year: visits to the toy library, intergenerational meetings with residents of a care home, trips to the public library, excursions to the lake shore or botanical garden… These activities help children discover new horizons and broaden their view of the world.
Thus, every afternoon during extracurricular time becomes a true space for growth, blending moments of relaxation, playful learning, and meaningful interactions.
Flexible Registration Tailored to Your Needs
Extracurricular activities require prior registration (see fees and general conditions), allowing children to engage in projects and activities organized over several sessions. This service is invoiced separately in addition to the school fees.
If your needs are occasional, flexible registration is also possible, subject to availability, by contacting us at least 24 hours in advance.
