Growing beyond the classroom: outings and events
At Montessori 3-12, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom walls. We offer children diverse experiences that nurture their curiosity, creativity, and openness to the world. Throughout the year, students take part in many outings and events designed to enrich both their academic journey and personal growth.
A daily life focused on the outdoors
Going outside is part of the daily rhythm, like a natural breath amidst learning. These outdoor moments nurture children’s autonomy, curiosity, and physical and emotional balance. This connection with the outdoors isn’t limited to daily recess: depending on their needs and projects, children can continue certain classroom activities outside.
The school has a large private garden of 1,200 m², accessible directly from the classrooms. Every day, regardless of the weather, children can play, garden, explore, or simply observe nature following the rhythm of the seasons. They are equipped with suitable clothing to fully enjoy these outdoor moments in any circumstance. The neighborhood also offers numerous parks, allowing for a variety of outdoor spaces and experiences.
Cultural outings to broaden the mind
Visits to museums, libraries, theaters, and exhibitions: throughout the year, cultural outings related to our educational projects are organized. Each outing is designed to enrich the themes studied in class and to stimulate the desire to learn. It’s an opportunity to spark imagination, broaden general knowledge, and develop the children’s critical thinking skills.
Nature as a learning ground
Our regular outings into nature offer children a unique opportunity to observe, explore, and build a close connection with the environment. Each trip, carefully prepared by the school’s nature guide, features a variety of activities and different locations to inspire wonder and deepen their understanding of the living world.
Les enfants attendent avec impatience ces aventures en pleine nature !
Performances held at school
Performances are regularly hosted right within our school premises: theater, storytelling, music… These are wonderful opportunities to bring culture to the heart of the school. Designed especially for children, these shows offer moments of discovery and wonder to share together.
A dedicated room for Arno Stern’s Jeu de peindre
The school also has a specially designed room for practicing the Painting Play Workshop, following Arno Stern’s approach. In this unique space, children paint freely, without judgment or expectation, respecting their natural creative impulse.
A special moment to express imagination and build self-confidence.
Special moments to come together
End-of-year performances, seasonal celebrations, themed days, and group projects also punctuate the school year.
